Lead Business Institute Organizes Cornell Campus Session
Kanchanaburi (Thailand) – July 8, 2016 (travelindex.com) – LEAD Business Institute recently debuted Thailand’s first ever Global Business Leaders (GBL) program Batch 1 in collaboration with USA’s Ivy League Cornell University and its world renowned Industrial Labor Relations (ILR) School, School of Hotel Administration and Johnson Graduate School of Management as well as home-grown captains of industries as executive speakers during the program.
The “Cornell Campus”, which was staged over the weekend at Dheva Mantra Resort in Kanchanaburi, kicked off with a televised welcome speech by Mr. Joseph E. Grasso, Associate Dean of Finance, Cornell University’s ILR School, followed by talks by Mr. Haresh Khoobchandani from Microsoft Asia Pacific and eminent lecturers and professors from Cornell University including Mr. Dan Fisher who currently teaches at ILR School and Dr. R. Balasubramaniam (Balu), the Frank H T Rhodes Professor at Cornell University who said whilst most universities teach students to be competent, he on the other hand teaches them to be “incompetent to learn to be humble”; adjust “selfish egoistic patterns” and minimize the “mindless pursuit of materialism” by learning “mindfulness”, yoga and meditation amongst other practices.
Dr. Sathit Limpongpan, Honorary President of LEAD Business Institute, and organizer of the Global Business Leaders program, said, “Fifty eminent participants of this inaugural program are all top executives from diverse professions and industries who will not only gain latest “global knowledge” and “global culture” trends from the Cornell professors but also form a networking of leaders who can exchange useful business ideas, share experiences and success stories of new businesses to take their companies to the next level and be able to compete on a global scale.”
LEAD Business Institute is the country’s leading developer of the most comprehensive executive education programs in partnership with global, world class universities and institutes in the USA and UK.
