Bawarchi, the Best Traditional Indian Cuisine in Bangkok

Bangkok (Thailand) – May 5, 2015 – How do you survive nearly two decades in the hugely competitive Bangkok restaurant market? Ask Indian cuisine veterans Bawarchi. Started in 1998, they are the city’s most recognized and prestigious set of Indian restaurants. With four Bangkok locations, Chid Lom, Sathorn, Sukhumvit 4 and 11, their accolades prove they are just getting better with age.

“Since the beginning we wanted to serve the most authentic North Indian recipes and maintain the highest standards. It is only by having pride and passion in what you do that you can last so long in a food city like Bangkok,” says Bawarchi Vice President Mr. Vinay Chawla.

With an illustrious history in Thailand’s capital, Bawarchi has been recognized by a multitude of awards including Thailand Tatler’s ‘Best Restaurants’, Bangkok’s Best and Trip Advisor for many consecutive years. And their gastronomic delights have also become legendary amongst locals and travellers.

“We want every diner to be transported to the exotic tandoors of India. So all our masala blends are hand made from the highest quality products in our own factory,” says Mr. Chawla.

With all their outlets serving only truly authentic Mughlai and North Indian dishes, the name Bawarchi, which translates to ‘chef,’ is a fitting description for their expertise. And a newly created logo signals their dedication to remain current. Signature dishes include the Bawarchi Murgh Malai Kebab, plump chicken thighs marinated in a velvety mix of cream cheese, cardamom and black salt, served with refreshing apple and pomegranate chutney.

Or the Bawarchi Raan Masala where a whole hind leg of lamb is marinated in a rich blend of red chili, garlic, fresh coriander and Rattan Jot then pot roasted in Garam Masala stock and finished in the tandoor.

Since Bawarchi’s inception all dishes are made in-house, including fresh breads, curries, paneer and spice blends. While their master Tandoor chefs use deft skills to grill fresh produce to perfection – elegantly charred and juicy.

The Head Chef overseeing all menus has over 25 years experience in Indian cuisine and has been with Bawarchi since the beginning. Every menu item in every outlet has his experienced touch and recipe, while exclusively he trains the talented chef team.

“We are truly honored to still be a part of Bangkok’s food landscape. Let us allow you to indulge in the exquisite tastes of the spice continent.”
