Thailand Events Calendar – November 2017

November is the month of some great festivals and celebrations in Thailand; Flora Park Floral Fair, Chiang Mai Yee Peng Sky Lantern Festival, Buriram Traditional Long Boat Racing for The Royal Cup Championship, Surin Elephant Round-up and Elephant Show  and many more. These festivals let visitors experience Thailand differently through numerous festive celebrations in November and throughout the 12-month calendar.

November 2017 – Event Calendar

1 November – 10 December 2017
Blooming Tree Marigold at Doi Mae U-Kho Festival
Where : Doi Mae U Khao , Amphoe Khun Yuam, Mae Hong Son.
The Festival marks the begining of tourism season in Mae Hong Son province, see blooming tree marigold at Doi Mae U-kho, Tambon Khun Yuam, Mae Hong Son Province. With over 500 Rai area, altitude of 1,600 m., it is considered the biggest and the most beautiful tree marigold field in Thailand. In the event, you will also find OTOP and local agricultural product trade fair.

1 November 2017 – 29 February 2018
Flora Park Floral Fair
Where : Wat Pho Chalerm Prakiet Intersection, Wang Nam Khieo, Amphoe Wang Nam Khieo, Nakhon Ratchasima
A marvelous floral and arts fair in 70 Rai area, with over 2,000 English roses on display. There will be local market, farmer market and organic vegetable project in the event.

2- 3 November 2017
The Color of water: Loi Krathong Festival
Where : Chao Phraya River, Bangkok
Watch boat procession decorated with lights and “Jong Prian Lod Chood Loi Khom Long Nam” ceremony in Ratanokosin atmosphere. Experience Loi Krathong festival at Wat and other government offices, decorations along the road and building on both sides of Chao phraya river.

2- 3 November 2017
Sommanam Khuenpheng Sengpratheep Festival
Where : Somdet Phra Srinakarin Park and Paranchai Lake, Roi ed
Witness the Royal floating lantern and Royal cup procession, including light and sound perforamce about Royal floating lantern from 12 vessal cities.

2-4  November 2017
Chiang Mai Yee Peng Sky Lantern Festival
Where : Chiang Mai, Amphoe Muang, Chiang Mai
Watch a magnificent Yee peng procession in Lanna style, both larege and small lanterns. Enjoy Miss and Mister Chiang Mai Yee Peng contest.

3 November 2017
Two Kingdoms Loi Krathong Festival at Mei River
Where : Friendship Bridge Thailand – Burma, Amphoe Mae Sot, Tak Province
Watch Thailand-Burma 2 Kingdoms cultural performances. Enjoy OTOP trade show at fair price and welcome winter season. Watch country song singing competition, Thailand’s 4 regions cultural performance, Muay Thai vs Burma Boxing. Enjoy the lantern floating up north phenomenon and Thai-Burma Nopphamat Queen Contests

4-5 November 2017
Buriram Traditional Long Boat Racing for The Royal Cup Championship
Where : Mun River, In front of Amphoe Satuek Administration Office,Buriram
Watch Royal Charity Cup procession and Fancy elephant parade, Big-sized long boat competition(less than 55 oarsmen) Medium-sized long boat (less than 40 oarsmen)

Colors of Doi Tung Festival
Where : Chiang Rai
The festival will be making the hills more vibrant than ever with of winter flowers and all kinds of animals.

Traditional Long Boat Racing for The Royal Cup Championship 2017
Where : Along Tha Nam Dam, Nonthaburi
The event features 2 types of long boat racing. Large-sized long boat with 55 oarsmen and medium-sized long boat with 40 oarsmen,

16-19 November 2017
Surin Elephant Round-up and Elephant Show
Where : Si Narong Stadium and Elephant field, Amphoe Meung,Surin.
This event has Red cross fair, floats with food for the elephants contest, 300 domesticated elephants will parade for the food and have a feast. There is also “Elephant City” Mini Half marathon running event.

Standard Chartered Bangkok Marathon
Where : Sanam Chai Road and the Grand Palace Bangkok
An international sport events for everyone from all over the world, the “Standard Chartered Bangkok Marathon”, it is considered to be the biggest running event of the year.
